Cat food brand Fancy Feast opens a pop-up restaurant for humans in New York City

Popular cat food brand Fancy Feast has announced that on the 11th of August they will be opening a pop-up Italian-style trattoria in New York City.

The unique restaurant will be serving dishes inspired by Fancy Feast’s new Medley range of cat food, a range that promises to offer your cat an Italian fusion dining experience.

A unique concept

So confident are Fancy Feast in the gourmet quality of their new recipes, that they want the cat-lovers of New York City to sample the flavors that their kitties will be offered.

The pop-up dining spot is called ‘Gatto Bianco by Fancy Feast’ and thankfully it won’t be serving actual cat food, but rather a menu filled with the gourmet Italian dishes with flavor profiles that will appear in The Fancy Feast Medley range.

The minds behind the unique restaurant concept have shared that they want cat owners to get a glimpse into the care and gourmet cooking skills that go into creating Fancy Feast.

Food fit for a cat

‘Gatto Bianco’s’ menu was created by Fancy Feast’s in-house chef Amanda Hassner in collaboration with Michelin-star Italian chef Cesare Casella. The unusual pairing of these two culinary masters promises to provide a singular dining experience unlike anything ever offered before.

In a Fancy Feast news release, chef Amanda Hassner said:

“Food has the power to connect us to others in meaningful ways and take us to places we have never been, the same is true for our cats.

The dishes at Gatto Bianco are prepared in ways that help cat owners understand how their cats experience food—from flavor, to texture, to form—in a way that only Fancy Feast can.”

Let the feast begin

Gatto Bianco‘ is located between the Far West Village and the Meatpacking District and will open its doors to a select number of cat-lovers who wish to sample the gourmet offerings of Fancy Feast.

The pop-up restaurant will only be in operation for two nights: the 11th and 12th of August. The exclusive eatery is offering just four reservations per night from 6.30 pm, with only two guests being allowed within each party.

The unique pop-up experience follows in the success of 2021’s Fancy Feast Cookbook which gave cat-owners access to recipes inspired by flavors and ingredients that Fancy Feast offers to cats.

Join the cool cats

If you are in the New York area and want to join the cool cats and try this kitty culinary experience for yourself reservations are now open.

Sadly Fancy Feast has shared that the pop-up dining experience is just for humans and diners have been informed not to bring their feline friends to the eatery!
